Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT) is an ISO 9001-2000 certified institution affiliated to the University of Calicut , situated at Pongam- a silent hamlet near Angamaly, with developmental activities in progress in and around it, with immense opportunities for growth.

The institute aims at moulding students into the dual concept of being a successful professional and also a comprehensive individual who can lend a hand in the shaping of the society as such. The institute is unique in its approach towards professionalism whereby students from all levels of income groups are given the best of the opportunities for professional training, further growth and development. With the boom in tourism sector, hospitality industry has emerged as one of the leading foreign exchange earners for the nation. The career options thrown open by the industry are immense. Studies reveal that India is going to be the ultimate tourist destination of the millennium. Hotel groups world wide look for quality leaders, to be inducted into their teams. In this context Naipunnya strives to cater to this need, training and grooming such individuals.

NIMIT is the first college in Kerala to offer a university degree in Hotel Management. The under graduate programmes in Hotel Management include the latest syllabus in line with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Govt. of India and the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Kerala.

2. DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

In this age of Information Technology, the demand for skilled computer professionals is very high. The department caters to this need by offering quality programs in computer science.
